See What Singer Teni Has To Say Concerning The Assasination Of Her Father

Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni Makaniki, has said the assassination of her father, the late Brig. General Simeon Apata (retd.) in her presence affected her a lot as she developed trust issues.

According to Punch News, Teni said she was two (2) years old when gunmen invaded their Lagos home and murdered her father in the presence of the entire family. “Growing up with my father passing at such a young age, the trauma of losing my father at a young age affected me. You know, him being assassinated in the presence of all of us and all that stuff. I was 2 at the time”.

Teni goes on to say, “Him passing away robbed me of a father figure. It sort of made me have trust issues growing up. Because they [gunmen] came into our house purposely to kill him.”

The late Brig. Gen. Simeon Apata (retd.), (Teni’s Dad) was assassinated on the 8th of January, 1995.
