Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has been rated No. 1 on the Billboard Year-End U.S. Afrobeats Artists Chart while Rema acquired the second spot, Tems, Libianca, and Wizkid got third, fourth, and fifth spot respectively.

Ayra Starr, CKay, Asake, Davido, and Oxlade completed the top 10 in the list released on Tuesday via the Billboard website.

Meanwhile, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ remix featuring Selena Gomez won the Billboard Year-End U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart with Libianca’s ‘People’ and Tems’ ‘Free Mind’ were ranked at number two and three respectively.

Nigerian Social media influencer, Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, has officially issued an apology to Davido, asking him to ‘forgive and forget’ after calling him out over an alleged N4.5 million debt she claimed he owed her boyfriend, Ikechukwu Ogbona aka IVD Motors.

Blessing CEO was reportedly called for questioning by the police, after which she apologized Davido in a video on her Instagram page.

Her apology partly reads, “I officially want to apologize to Davido. I’m sorry for calling you out. I’m sorry for hurting you. Me sef na 30bg, forgive and forget; you’re not a man of trouble; you’re for peace”.

He stated that the song with Dammy Krane is a prayer song and not a diss track for Davido, as widely deduced.

It could be recalled that Davido and Dammy Krane have been at each other on social media over allegations of refusal to pay royalties on songs they made together.

In a shocking twist, Dammy Krane is set to release a diss track as his reply to Davido’s tweet over unpaid debt.

It could be recalled on Tuesday, that Dammy Krane had taken to social media to call Davido out over the alleged refusal to pay him for a record they collaborated on.

The post read, “Let’s not forget #davido; you took Idowest from my record label; I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother, neither did I drag the artiste (cos I had done my part to help him). Genuinely I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote after all”.

Responding to the allegation, Davido wrote, “I never got paid for that also my 3 verses I’ve gifted you all your dead career… .. oh yea plus my royalties, we charge now so that’s about $ 150k x3 a verse.. also house rent and food when u stayed in my house in Atlanta when you were homeless.”

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, made some interesting revelations during his interview on ‘Kelly Clarkson Show’.

In the interview, Davido said, “I come from a big family that is big on education. I’m a first-generation entertainer in my whole life of bloodline.

“He was adamant about me finishing school. One, because I didn’t make it. Two, because you know what I’m saying? He didn’t mind me doing music, but he was bent on me, you know, finishing school.

“He owns a University, So you can imagine, and my mom was a college professor. I think they were also scared because whatever you want your kids to do, you want them to succeed. In our business, it’s not that easy to be successful.

“So you know, we made a deal where I go to school for two weeks out of the month, and the other two weeks, I can be in the studio and do what I want.

“It got to a point where I was distracting the class when my music got bigger. After a while, I got to do part-time class-type stuff. I was getting too big, and he got mad.

“I’m talking about he sees a billboard of me doing a show; the show gets canceled before I get there. He has that type of power.

“So it got to a point where everyone was scared to book me. But eventually, I did finish school and now he is my biggest fan.”

Nigerian Singer Oyindamola Emmanuel, aka Dammy Krane, has again claimed that David Adeleke aka Davido owes him money and is refusing to clear the debt.

He made this known in a post made on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday morning, in which he wrote, “I know it is hard for Rich people to pay debts but #davido if not for my sake Blooda, Pay me my money at least because of my daughter’s sake (your niece if at all) school fees no easy for Naija now o, na everybody dey try secure their future. Na money we want no be wahala o.

“Let’s not forget #davido you took Idowest from my record label, I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother, neither did I drag the artiste (cos I had done my part to help him). Genuinely I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote after all.”

It could be recalled that Dammy Krane had in September 2022 publicly accused Davido of declining to pay for his songwriting assistance to an earlier released track, even after asking Davido about it privately.
